Transferring registrars vs. transferring hosting
Transferring registrars moves your domain name from one Registration Company to another.

More information
• ICANN regulations ban transfer of domain names that have been registered or transferred within the last 60 days.
• If a domain name is locked at the registry, the transfer will be rejected. Contact the current registrar in order to unlock the domain.
• Some registrars have short grace periods on expiring domains; sometimes as little as three to five days. This means that requesting a transfer close to a domain’s expiration date could lead to transfer rejection, depending on the transfer policies of the current registrar.
