To transfer a domain away from us

First, you will need to check that your domain name meets the following qualifications to transfer:

 

      At least 60 have passed from the time of registration, recent registrar transfer or domain renewal.

      Domain name is active and not expired or ready to expire within the next 6-10 days.

      Registrar Lock is set to “off” for the domain name.

      The authorization code has been obtained from your control panel.

 

 

To turn the Registrar Lock off

 

      Login to your account

      Select the Domains tab from the blue menu bar

      Select Domain Services from the drop down menu

      Select the Registrar Lock link on the top right side of the page

      Turn the Locked status to “off” then preview and confirm your changes

      Allow 24 hours for the new unlocked status to update

 

To obtain your Authorization Code

 

The following TLD’s will require an authorization code to transfer:

.com, .net, .biz, .info, .name, .org, or .us

 

      Login to your account

      Select the Domains tab from the blue menu bar

      Select Domain Services from the drop down menu

      Locate the Registrar Lock link on the top right side of the page

      When the Locked status is off, the “View Auth Info” link will appear to the right of the Registrar Lock.

      Click the View Auth Info link to display the case sensitive authorization code.

      Take this code and provide to new registrar.

 

Once authorization code has been submitted to new registrar, the transfer will complete in 6 days.

 

Please note it is not necessary to contact us after you have successfully submitted your transfer to the new registrar. If the authorization code has been accepted, this verifies your confirmation of the request.
