Domain Support's FTP server is based on ProFTPD. You can configure your FTP server to display a welcome message when you login or change directories using FTP client software. Support for this feature depends on the FTP client software used to access the server.

FTP login welcome message Create a text file named "welcome.msg", place the message you want displayed when you login to the ftp server in this file. Place this file in your /htdocs directory of your web account. This message will be diplayed by your FTP client the next time you login if your FTP software supports this feature. FTP directory message Create a text file named ".message", place the message you want displayed when you change directories in this file. Place this file in the specific directory you want the message to appear. The next time you change directories with your FTP client this message will be displayed when you enter the directory if you FTP software support this feature.
