Extra information

ICANN regulations ban transfer of domain names that have been registered or transferred within the last 60 days.

Transferring registrars moves your domain name from one Registration Company to another.

Transferring hosting refers to updating your domain nameservers or URL forwarding to point to the new hosting company.

If a domain name is locked at the registry, the transfer will be rejected. Contact the current registrar in order to unlock the domain.

Some registrars have short grace periods on expiring domains; sometimes as little as three to five days. This means that requesting a transfer close to a domain’s expiration date could lead to transfer rejection, depending on the transfer policies of the current registrar.
