How to Build a Blog

 

Follow these easy instructions to get started with your online blog!

 

Step 1: Register your domain name

In order to have a website for your blog, you will need to sign up for web hosting services for your registered domain. Most open source and proprietary blog software requires the use of a MySQL database for the  blog to properly function so it is important that you sign up for a hosting plan that includes MySQL database access.

Step 3: Create a Database

 To create a MySQL database, once logged into your online account, hover your mouse cursor over the “Hosting” tab at the top of the page and select “Developer's Corner” from the drop down menu. Once on the “Developer's Corner” page, click on the “click here” under the “Database” section towards the top of the page. On the “Database Administration” page, click on “add” in the lower right hand corner to create a MySQL database.
